Annoying Boxes

On my Medion laptop operating on Windows Vista, I have to press a button before I am connected to my WiFi.

Recently a window pops up called Dial-Up Connection, with the words

Select the service you want to connect to:

Connect to Broadband
Broadband 2

Connect Automatically with the box ticked

Then three choices CONNECT SETTINGS CANCEL

When I delete this box another pops up which says, Connecting through WAN Miniport PPP8E

I can get rid of this also and connect to the internet, but these boxes are annoying and they didn't appear until recently, can anyone help please?

Thanks fender62 but that sounds terribly technical and I don't think his problem is the same as mine, but thanks again anyway.
