Money is too tight to support any charity on a regular basis but when we can we support our local hospice and Help For Heroes.
Hi Gmum......for me it's two small local charities who work in the Gambia.... and one in Ethiopia....plus Water Aid from time to time.

Crisis, Air Ambulance, RNLI and RSPB get regular donations.

I still support Save the Children but lately have been less inclined to donate to some large charities.
Guide Dogs for me and if there is anyone collecting for something close to me when I'm out and about I try and spare some change
Help For Heroes/RBL without fail, the odd animal charity from time to time, along with MacMillan and BHF occasionally. Don't know if being a regular blood donor counts?!
I do not give to foreign charities.
Asthma UK
Royal British Legion
Random charities such as the teenage cancer trust. I also sometimes donate to individuals who need money for certain life altering surgeries not funded by the NHS.

I do 20+ charity quizzes a month - so the list is long, wide and varied - on a more personal level my local Hospice.
The Medical Foundation for the victims of torture, Sally Army, St Vincent de Paul, Extern(a charity that works to help the adult victims of sexual abuse) , Oxfam, and the Red Cross.
And an animal charity, The Mare and Foal sanctuary.
GM...if you're interested look at one of the charities I support....google The Beryl Thyer Memorial Africa Trust.....set up by an eccentric doctor friend of mine.

The work he does with those children will make you shed a tear...x
Help for Heroes and Bleackholt which is a local animal sanctuary to me.

I support the guide dogs for the blimd. redwings, the donkey sanctuary , essex air ambulance and the local stroke club.
There are charities that I believe to be very worthy causes but won't donate to because I believe the services should be funded by the taxpayer - the RNLI and the various air ambulances around the country.
I have heard the arguments against funding by the government but I believe these are essential services that should be properly funded.

I tithe and the charities I do support include one overseas project to educate children and support young mothers; a local charity that supports homeless young adults and at the other end of the spectrum, a fabulous charity for our lonely elderly the NBFA.

NFB [National Federation of the Blind] my late husband went blind because of his diabetes complications also support our local hospice and Richard House for terminally ill children and their families also McMillan nurses cant do anymore that's all I can afford.
Yes, Scrivens. Charity begins at home but should not end there.
If you are raised in a loving and charitable home you are more likely to reach out and help others.
MacMillan cancer-have helped me with advice in the past.
Guide dogs- good friend was blind and had a dog, my mother in almost blind.

I am registered blind. I do have a tiny bit of sight though not much.
The only charity that I regularly give to is Suffolk Wildlife Trust but I've previously been an RNLI Governor and I still support them.

I'm also a 'soft touch' for anyone collecting for animal charities and for things like childhood leukaemia.

I also try to support 'less popular' charities, such as NACRO.

Charities I would NEVER give to include all Christian charities, Help for Heroes, the RBL and the Samaritans, all of whom I totally despise.
Scope, MIND, the British Heart Foundation, and cancer charities. OH does childrens charities, cancer and childrens homes.
I try to support charities which have a relevance to me or mine. So, S.P.C.A Scottish version of the R.S.P.C.A and Diabetes U.K. (for obvious reasons) and also cancer research. I also try to give to smaller local charities when I can
Salvation Army, Iris, Candis,Nspcc and others when monies to spare.
