Auditioning At An Acting School
2 Answers
If you are going for an audition at an acting school and have been given an audition speech to learn do you have to perform it as well as speak it, and also do you look at the judges or elsewhere. Never done this before so need lots of advice. Thanks.

If you are going to acting school then I would guess that they want to see you act and not recite so yes, act your piece. If you were acting in a play on stage, would you look at the audience? I would think not unless the stage directions tell you to, so no, while you are acting for the panel, they are your audience and you behave as such.
Woof is right. Go in, introduce yourself, they'll chat a sec or two and then ask you for your prepared pieces ( usually one Shakespeare and one contemporary, or your sheets if you've been given something to read). Act it, don't look eye to eye with the panel all the time but make sure you are audible and engage them.
