In fact far from it as some will testify lol.I have been know to try my hand at times at pushing the boundaries.

However I have read continually on here that this is a family site -in fact perpetually- yet an afternoon thread from Crankshaft which became quite expicit -(during the English school holidays as well) was allowed to remain although the Spare was aware of it.

Now where does the Ed sit on this -he doesnt need to have anyone reporting as we all know he can delete at will

Anyone complained in AB Suggs re this? Or is that a waste of a topic?

I found it a bit crass in honestly
I thought at first that crankshaft was a lovely old bloke, but just lately some of the questions he has been asking have been a bit rude. I thought the whole thread was rude to be honest, and I did say so in the thread.
As there wasn't many posts at the time, and the ED knew about this one, he let it go. It got quite a lot of hits so it's all revenue for them isn't it?
This is NOT a family site.

It has no family ethos. That is b0ll0cks.

This site has ONE ethos ...

To sell advertosing space, and make cash for the owner.

If that dries up, the site dies.

The thread in question attracted the most hits of all the threads today ... (go check!).

So in terms of the sole ethos of this site, it was the most successful thread of the day.

Any questions?

I hold my hand up in that I was involved in that thread.

I too found it crass and rather juvenile.

Crankshaft I feel has fooled us all.

So why did I get involved?......no idea.
It IS a family site Jayne it's in the rules...................look.

Take care when discussing mature topics. Keep in mind that under 18s view and contribute to the website. Posts that are sexually explicit will be removed.
maybe a review of the rules is needed, there is obviously a glut of people who want to eagerly participate in these sleazy threads

Yeah I thought it crossed the so called boundaries TBH -I ant re-call Legend or Knobby posting in such an intimate fashion. However I know that some of the posters did post and thought they would be dungeoned as even they thought thy had crossed the boundaries but Ed on his Afternoon Tea thread was aware of it and didnt appear phased..

What message does that send out to the advertisers?
Yes it is OK to allow post upon post to appear about paedophilia against a forum user -would that not be against the regulations of a forum -oops forgot -it wasnt regulated at the time -cos it was after 5pm on Friday until Monday at 8.30am- but the victim of those vile allegations was banned -silly me !!
oh now I will have to go ava looky...
It claims to be a family site.

If the owners had to choose between the advertising cash or the families, it wouldn't take Einstein to guess who would win.

Everything on this site has one objective ... to get as many hits as possible.

Without that, we have no site.

The thread in question has even generated this spin-off thread. There is no question ... it was the most successful thread of the day.

We are still "chatting" about it on ChatterBank even now.

Quick poll ...

How many of us share AB with their whole family.

Let's test the argument.

Me ... no (not really relevant).
I'm agreeing with you Drisgirl that the said post was smutty, but please don't turn this into a debate about why legend and knobby got banned.

It's not about them.
n/a for me JJ
your posts have toned down a lot since you first got here jayne, maybe crankshafts will?
well i am quitw prudish and don;t give a fig who is bothered by that, i haven't seen that thread cois i was busy and won't make a point of seeking it out, but it probably was one i would have totally ignored anyway.

So, crankshaft, elderley supposedly, bit of a pervy voyeur, that rings a bell from a few years back
