what does " application to enter a restriction " mean.
Could anyone help please, I am a tennant and I have received a letter informing that the landlords objection to the application to enter a restriction had been rejected.
I have no idea what this is about and dont know if I should be worried or not.
Anyone have any ideas.
P.s The letter was from the land registry.
Thanks

The landlord clearly has debts, and the creditor has applied to the Land Registry to put a 'charge' onto the property you rent such that, when it is sold, the creditor can get his money back. The application was successful. The landlord clearly wrote to the Land Registry objecting to that charge, but his objection has been rejected. The letter shouldn't have come to you.

The letter was addressed to him, but the landlords have had their post redirected so in the 8 months we have been here we have never had one letter for them. Just picked the letter up and opened it, then realised it wasnt for me. I have sent the letter on to the estate agent that seals with the letting so make sure that they get it.
I am genuinely sorry that I opened it, was blissfully ignorant before.
