I'm Worried My Friend Might Fall Out...
Family & Relationships0 min ago
I am 21 years old, going to be 22 in this month. I am desperate...very desperate very desperate for a job. Yes, you heard right?! I really need a job due to income problems in my house and me having a job will really help me get through this situation. I will be able to contribute to my household and that will mean so much to me. I am not that great in skills. Like I can write, arrange and analyze stuffs. If I get to have some training in that job, that will be very helpful for me...I am very desperate of having a job that will give me some sense of freedom from my worries. So, please help me. More info:- I have graduated from highschool in 2019 with 62% and +2 college in 2022 with 65%. Also, I don’t have any college degree yet. I know it's not that much and there are so many people better than me. But don't let it make you feel that I am not a good student, just because I don't have good marks. I spend a great time in reading books, not that much but I love reading articles, essays, biographies and sometimes newspaper. I am not at all good at maths but I do like solving mental riddles. I am in intermediate level in english which means I can speak in english but may make some mistakes while speaking....due to my nervousness. I know I am not a very good candidate for a job and you will have doubts to recruit me. But please do reconsider it. Ofcourse, I am not made out for any high level jobs but I would like to work in a one where I can get some training and will get some experience before starting for work. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME (I am very sorry for any grammar mistakes I have made).I am 21 years old, going to be 22 in this month. I am desperate...very desperate very desperate for a job. My first thought was that you might be in the USA but then you wrote, "I am in intermediate level in english which means I can speak in english but may make some mistakes while speaking". That makes me think that you might be in somewhere like India, where English isn't your first language.
Without knowing where you are (and what the recruitment processes are in that country) it's hard for me, or for anyone else here, to offer you any helpful pointers. You might have more success looking for a suitable forum that's based in your home country.
One small tip though: If you'll be sending application letters or emails to prospective employers, remember to use paragraphs within them. It'll make them a lot easier to read than your post here is.
Have you tried paragraphs ?
Would suggest applying everywhere you see an ad for, and maybe popping into places asking if they need additional staff. Do have a resume/CV handy in case needed, but usually they are better geared towards the job you're asking about.
Ah I see Buen has mentioned that first thing. Yeah, and like Shar says, leave out the desperation. On a chat forum maybe say it once if you need to, but not elsewhere.
Sorry for the texts. It just got doubled by mistake😅. Yes, you guys are right. It's not like if I ask in the internet for a job, the job will come to me...I was just very stressed out about everything that I just wrote this recklessly. I am very sorry that. And thank you everyone for your tips. Yes, you are right.... I am from India🙃🤸✨.
