bailiffs at the door for CAR TAX NON PAYMENT ?

has anyone had bailiffs knock at the door , for NON PAYMENT of CAR TAX offence , which would have been processed through magistrates , before passed over to "civil enforcemet agencies " as they like to be known as , - with BAILIFFS calling at the door ulitimately , - anyone had aBAILIFF at the door for this offence only ., and how much , was the BAILIFFs fees , on top of the origianal magistrates fine ?

Every day there was cars added there (even a Lotus at one point!). I know that the owner was alerted as to where his/her vehicle was and they had to pay a fine, plus the cost of the road tax for it to be released. If you didn't claim it or pay up, your car was crushed a week later.
