I’ve just messaged my dog groomer to ask if she’d like mince and dumplings with creamed mash , carrots and green beans on this extremely cold snowy Thursday, it was meant for my son in law ( I’m the best ma-in - law in the land) ,she the groomers answers with Please can I groom Lola today to get my lovely hot dinner , haha ,still no word from sil though:0(
Already had my 'laugh ov the day'/senior moment. Normal morning routine is that as i am getting breakfast and first pint pot of coffee ready, i sort my meds out. I take 4/5 tabs, washed down with soluble Aspirin. This morning i dropped the Aspirin into my coffee instead of the small glass i use.
This made me laugh yesterday, while we were in car with little grandson. Out of the blue, he pipes up and says, "I can't believe, that Dick Van Dyke is nearly a hundred years old"...
Lol!
It's because I love Mary Poppins and gave shown him short vids of it. He particularly likes 'Bert'. He heard me say a couple of weeks ago how amazing Dick V Dyke was for his age, he's 96.
I still keep giggling about it.. :-))
I dry fry the mince to get rid of excess fat , fine chop onion and slice the carrots , add the grave made with Bisto , put in a large meat dish, add dumpling about 30/40 minutes before serving.
Boil a pan of potatoes and mash with some mustard , serve with green beans Naomi
That’s sounds lovely, Bobbi. I like good warming ordinary dinners much more than all the fancy pretentious stuff. Not sure I’d put mustard in the mashed potato though. Just butter, milk, salt and pepper for me.
