Another triumph for the BBC tonight.

Yes, harrowing but so were the facts associated with these true cases.
Hard hitting and an important issue well aired so far.

Some powerful acting too.
This is just the sort of thing that we do so well here in Britain, and especially on the BBC.

Next time someone has a rant about the BBC, remind them of programs like this.
Those criticising the police for their perceived failures to act need to be aware of the constraints placed upon all public services when dealing with 'certain groups', if it was a choice between not upsetting the 'community' or following a course of action, the former would win every time. It's only in the last four or five years that the pendulum has started to swing and the R card has begun to lose its potency.

I think it made a very good case in explaining how all the authorities took such a long time to realise what was going on.

Speechless.
Yes very good acting from every single person but particularly the 3 young girls who were superb.

Explaining how all...

Tendentious nonsense, Talbot.

"they" ALL knew, but didn't act.
But, nonetheless, it was nice to see God knows how many police staff discussing the issue, problem with evidence (XPS) interviewing dysfunctional families. And of course there was that single "social worker" (spell-checker fail) - lone voice crying in the wilderness.
I meant CPS.
I tagree with other posters that this partial reconstruction ot the Rotherham abuse ahse been very well acted.
I hope part three provides honest and intelligent analysis.
.. well acted AND scripted...
Don't agree mikey far too graphic for me.
The Female Detective who resigned during the investigation, was on Loose Women today.

Worth a watch on catch-up.

The wife often accuses me of having a heart of stone ... well I don't mind admitting that stone bled a little watching that.
Me too....but its all true .....
Yes, very moving - powerful.
I have not watched the last episode yet, but saw this which might be a bit of interest to some.

Some of the men responsible for the rape and abuse in Rochdale, and other towns ,have been born here in the UK and therefore have British citizenship, so I doubt that they could be deported anywhere else.

But for those that are foreign nationals, I see no difficulty in deportation when they have completed their sentences.
Ref the MEN link, remove legal aid, they'll soon be back home where they belong.
## But for those that are foreign nationals, I see no difficulty in deportation when they have completed their sentences. ##

Completely agree Mikey, but why the hell dont they do it?
There must be hundreds who have escaped being deported, because of some loop-hole in human rights, but if other Country's can do it, why shouldn't we?

With the Politicians we have now, and have had in the past, it looks unlikely that the situation is going to change, and I hate to think what state this Country is going to be like, in another 50 years or less, for my grandkids & their children?

I am so Angry, and if my post sounds racist, so be it!!!
