JFK

Does anyone out there think that it was a lone gunman that killed JFK, or was it a conspiracy 'going all the way to the top'? If you watch Oliver Stone's film 'JFK', he says the world and their gran were involved, but reading this excellent site seems to dispel any theories that film puts up. http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/home.htm.
Your thoughts please.

America has a history of not seeing what doen't suit it's image of itself - Viet Nam anyone? - so I believe that people know the truth, but we as the general public will never hear what that truth is.
I'm with the conspirators on this one, for similar reasons as already mentioned by Andy Hughes. Oh and I subscribe to the conspiracy that the 1969 moon landing was 'staged' so as to appear to bring to fruition JFK's dream of putting a man on the moon before the end of the decade (and beating the Russians to it, to boot), thus helping to heal a still mourning nation and restore the morale of the free land. :-)
I feel that two of the people answering above ( the same person? ;o) ) have watched and believed the film "JFK". I too used to think that this film was a good interpretation of the events surrounding JFK's murder, and in fact bought on DVD, then I started reading about the "conspiracy" and wished I hadn't wasted my money.
I based my opinions on a documentary i watched years ago where they "put oswald on trial" i.e. pretended he was alive and in court, to try and determine whether he was guilty or not. Interestingly the jury found him guilty, but i believed he was innocent. Having watched JFK since i am convinced he was innocent. Finally i have fired a bolt action on a few occasions and can tell you that what he did is not possible
