Linda Lee-Potter (the late Daily Mail columnist ) always seemed to make really catty and nasty coments about Elaine Paige as well as not seeming to like her. Does anyone know why.

I think it was just a personal opinion - for which columnists are paid.

LLP was similarly nasty about Anthea Turner - most people dislike someone famous - columnists get paid to say so.

Didn't Elaine Paige have a long term afffair with a then married Tim Rice?

It may be that LLP thought badly of each lady for that reason - but to put it inconext - no-one 'steals' anyone's husband - they are thinking individuals, not bracelets in a jeweller's window!

Got to agree with flipnflap.
If you have ever listened to her show on Radio 2 on a Sunday afternoon, she plays most of her own songs!
