I’ve started watching the new series, and I can't remember Mulder and Scully having had a baby together. What happened to the child – or did they not tell us?

Hi Naomi - I didn't recall the incident either. The following link reminded me of a few details - such as Agent Monica Reyes delivering the baby - & served to prove that I could spend all day following the extra links therein, saying "Oh yes! I remember that bit!" :-) http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/William_(child)

Keep asking: the truth is out there.

Just caught the last five minutes of the X-Files whilst channel hopping last night. So this is a new series ?
Question Author
OG, yes it is a new series. I think the last one finished about 15 years ago. I loved it then and found myself just as hooked on the new one.
I must tune in then. As for your question, obviously I don't know (but they've had 15 years to get it together ☺).
Question Author
Apparently not. They've gone their separate ways during the last 15 years but the baby was born before that.

I watched last night for the 1st time as I never saw the original and I found it hard to understand.
Question Author
Oooo ... thanks Lie-in King. That's appreciated. :o)
You're welcome - in this case, "the truth is in there"...

...or is it? :-)
Question Author
tamaris, I imagine it would be difficult to understand without knowing the background. Perhaps reading a synopsis would help?
Question Author
Lie-in King, haha! Knowing the X-Files, probably not!! :o)
I caught up with it last night also...and was just as confused as ever.
I do member Mulder and Scully getting close at one point...but nothing seemed to *happen*. I remember thinking at the time "you know you want to".
Question Author
^Indeed. :o)

tamarisk, if you're still looking in, I checked the TV listings and the originals are available from Episode 1, Series 1. I'm sure if you watch the first few you'll get the gist of it and be able to catch up.
May be my age but I watched it last night on 5+24 and found my attention wandering. Seems to happen to often these days. But I'm unsure Roswell could be a "smokescreen" in the yarn, whilst at the same time saying it really occurred and aliens got killed. Creating a smokescreen implies forward planning. May have been conveniently used as used as one maybe, but for what ? It is part of the tale that they got their tech from there. It would be the source/enabler of what conspirators did next. It doesn't really sit right how it is described. Worth sticking with though, I think.
Question Author
It will be interesting to see where it goes, OG.
I've being an avid fan from the beginning I cant remember them having a child either, even after reading L-I-K's link. Maybe Chris Carter has something in mind with this story arc as its only a six parter. Loving it good as ever. (Well only seen the first one ;-)
Question Author
Arksided, I'm loving it too - straight back into it.
