Just been out for a couple of hours, haven't used the VRs for about 10 days, so took it for a run down to Dover, The dual carriageway was quiet so gave it a blast, I don't know about the claimed top-speed (155) yet, but I got 142 on the clock before I had to back off, we'll see what it can do proper after the Easter w/end.

Yes, I know it wasn't you - wrong motorway too... they must have been looking the other way as you whizzed past!

When the signs say "Speed Cameras Ahead" they mean it, and they're active.

I'll bear it in mind, thanks
and there was me thinking you were a buccaneer type :-)

I've had my moments, I like to think I've matured now into a 'Grumpy Old Man' with tongue firmly in cheek of course (can I say that on here?)
Yes. Depends whose cheek ;-)
I do wish that program would come back, updated
What program is that, Psybbo.

Hi pixie, a gentleman never tells!
Oh yes, I have watched that in the past.
Lol!
I've just seen the headline in our local rag "Baldric arrested rushing to get to Dover", LOL.

Ah, come-on Boxy, be fair, that would be rushing to leave Dover!
;-)
Dear me, dear me - if you actually live here, it's got a lot going for it (if people can be bothered to look for it) :-)
I once cruised down the M5 at 147mph in my Range Rover Vogue. I glanced at the clock and it gave me a real fright, I knew I was speeding but no idea I was going that fast!

I got away with it thankfully!

The engine was purring beautifully and smoothly.
I had a friend some years ago who phoned me to say they were leaving Bristol at noon - they pulled up outside my house in Dover at 2pm. Lucky, or daft...?

Even when we lived up at St Margarets at Cliffe we rarely used Dover town centre, tried a few of the Pubs, found them to be quite insular, and dare I say, downmarket. I guess it's like anywhere, you need to know it to like it.

Bristol to Dover, Kent, UK approx. 200 miles in 2 hrs, unbelievable!!
Boxy, I think you will find they left a lot earlier and phoned you on route. a 200 mile trip in two hours would be pretty much impossible in the dead of night let alone mid day.
do any of you consider the consequences of having an accident at these speeds (for other people, I mean)
