How do I remove the caliper bolts on front brakes of a Ford Mondeo 2001? Haynes manul says use a spanner but I think they are wrong. Any ideas?

Sierras used to use a certain size hex/allen key that was only available from Ford Dealers.
vauxhall use a special allen key on the astra. cant remember the size but theyre only a couple of � from any car spares centre.

peugeot use torx keys. i like torx keys but find they slip if your not careful.

Thanks for your replies. It was a Hex/Allen type key needed - 7mm. The Haynes manual said use a thin open spanner!!!!!!!! Anyway job done!
