I love the bit 'Wearing a white blouse and a black skirt, the singer said:... '
Well that's relevant isn't it?
//Members of the jury were shown copies of Miss Stone's tour diary, charting dates when she was in and out of the country including at the time of the alleged plot// - huh? was this in the possession of the accused?
Hard work this one - liquid lunch at Mail Mansions?

That is the way most reporters/journalists describe various persons in a court of law, have you not heard similar "he stood in the dock dressed in a smart pinstriped suit" etc?

/// The record showed the singer was 'home' from June 9-20.///
This was the actual record of what was said in court, how can you find anything wrong in that, except of course to try and get over yet another boring anti Daily Mail jibe once again.
Surely if you can't come up with something better than that, then you must be slipping.

It's more what isn't in it
I'm having some difficulty following the prosecution's case from their description - that she was home at the time of the alleged plot?
I've now gone to the Telegraph's page on this, which has neglected to tell me what Ms Stone was wearing, but is a heck of a lot clearer

It's not a general jibe at the mail (well OK the discussion of her court attire is) just that the journalism seem somewhat lacking

I'm with andy-hughes on this.
I know that sometimes people post a link to a story, prompting comments, but what you've done hear is literally just posted a link to a story...with nothing else!
What's the question...or if you don't have a question, errr...what are you looking for?
Totally stumped on this one.

Thanks...
But AOG, can you please expand on your original question (if we can call it that).
Be careful what you write though, because the accused have not been found guilty yet.
It's laudable that you should wish to draw our attention to this story, but for what reason?
I'm sure that the race of the alleged perpetrators is not significant, so what what is it about this case that's sparked your interest?
Thanks...

So sorry I am late in getting back on this, but I have had other things to do, and had forgot to go back to this thread until sp1814 highlighted it in a more recent unconnected thread.
But to answer those who wondered why I posted this thread I say this, there are many on this site who post threads which don't even have anything to do with the news, yet they are not taken to task for daring to do so.
This thread was certainly a news story and I posted it because a well known personality had been the victim of a plot to kill her, just because the perpetrators happened to be black had nothing to do with it except to those who would wish to draw a connection due to their own suspicious thoughts.
This thread is no different from posting a thread on a newspaper report of say a famous person dying, which I have also done in the past, are I also to be accused of only addressing the deaths of WHITE celebrities?
I am getting rather fed-up with the continuous jibes and accusations of racism from certain ABers, am I expected to trawl through every news report that I post to make sure that no persons other than whites, Christians, heterosexuals, police, or armed service personal etc, are shown in a bad light?

I just found it odd that, in a post about an item you felt sufficiently newsworthy to warrant a post - an alleged plot to kill Joss Stone - the key fact you thought important enough to quote from this important story, published in the DM, about a murder plot appears to be a complete non sequitur about "documents which appear to express disapproval of the Royal Family"
I mean, usually news stories are selected for inclusion and posting in the News section not just because they happen to be making headlines, but because they serve to illustrate a point the poster wishes to make, aren't they?
I am not criticising your posting of this story- I just was not sure why you were posting it, or why you offered up that particular quotation is all....

I have already explained why I posted it, 'it was a news story' and the reason why I offered up that particular quotation regarding the Royal Family, was that I took into consideration some of AB's regular 'anti Royal Family' members, and that the inclusion of that link might be reason enough for some to get interested in the post, so as to attract a reasonable amount of debate.

Why did you post this link?
What is your take on his story?
You might find people accusing you of being a racist irritating, but I think that's because you don't realise that we all know what your agenda is.
I have my agendas, and I am happy to confirm what they are.
Do you think we don't know yours?
So, prove me wrong.
What is it about this story you wanted to talk about.
And please stop assuming we are stupid.
We...are...not.

By the way AOG - I know this will mean nothing to you, and that my opinion is not worth much....but I would like you to have a look at New Judge's posts for an example of how someone can put 'right of centre' views in an intelligent and well thought out way.
You will notice that his posts generate considered argument, whereas...
Well, you don't need me to finish that.

Nope...if a famous celebrity dies, it is completely understandable if someone posts to AB with something along the lines of 'Norman Collier has died'.
That would generate posts where people could say, "I loved that faulty microphone thing he did" etc.
The reason you posted a link to this story is a mystery. You could help us by guiding us to your thoughts of the story.
What were they?
Once again, he careful of what you write, seeing as the trial is still in progress.
What do you want to say about it.
