NewsBiscuit is often good for a laugh!

However one is offended that one might be perceived to be 'common' simply because one is impecunious. One may have had to dismiss the butler, the cook, the gardener and boot footmen, one may have to dress oneself and one may have to pour one's own drinks, but one has not, and will not, associate oneself with the lower...

That has got to be a wind up!

But yeah, I guess I'm farily common... I'm pretty ordinary :c)
Don't have a waitrose near here pussnboots so they don't need to worry about me!.........wouldn't shop there if it was on the doorstep either!...........
Definitely a wind-up, but a funny one.

Hey Puss, I'm common. I do shop at Waitrose though......along with Lidl and Aldi! :o)
I don't like Waitrose! I actually prefer Lidls so yeah me too. Common as muck!!
CD, look at the headlines down the right hand side of the page. I personally like the Viking detective one :)
I saw it earlier, very funny.

I'm not sure I've ever shopped in Waitrose, one opened in the city centre in Manchester not that long ago.

I'm more of a Tesco bargain bin/Lidl girl. Morrisons is my favourite but can't get there easily (for free anyway using my buspass).

Good spoof!

I wish I loved the Human Race;
I wish I loved its silly face;
I wish I liked the way it walks;
I wish I liked the way it talks;
And when I'm introduced to one,
I wish I thought "What Jolly Fun!"
Actually I'm a Morrisons girl too. It's our only real supermarket and my social life is conducted there. In a small town like ours it's where we bump into all our friends on a regular basis. We know all the staff as well. I love the place.
i'm common as crap! definitely not waitrose material. it's not even worth working there for the discount - you'd still have to take a mortgage out to do a weekly shop x

Definately a wind up, but I thought it was funny. I've never been in a Waitrose I'm more of an Aldi/Morrison type, but I do keep away from all those common types in Aldi, they lower the tone of the place. ;-))
Sir Walter A Raleigh, to give credit where it's due

Good fun..and very funny. There's no Waitrose near me...tho' I'd venture in to have a nosey if there was.

Liked the article about the EU burying Britain in the North Sea....hilarious.
Doesn't everyone have a hi-vis vest?
Nooooo !!

Are they really ending the Essential range?

I buy loads of that.

Oh, so ... err

(puts hand up to being one of Waitrose's "common" customers)
It's a satirical website Jayne!

their current headline is

"No hard feelings, says PM as third Tory rebel dies in mysterious circumstances"

Check what you're reading - it might be the Sun!

That is one probelm with checking spelling by posting the text into a text editor first. It can leave out lines >:-( and of course, still no edit facility. Worse as there were no errors anyway.

LMAO has to be a wind up surely.

But yes, were there a Waitrose near me I'd probably try there in preference to those presently nearby. Shopping isn't the most wonderful experience at the best of times: if possible, may as well search out the most pleasant environment to wander around in.

I quite fancy Dave the plumber from Bolton, he looks a real dreamboat.
