Is It Possible To Get A Cd Player Which Can Load A Few Cds?
15 Answers
I used to have one in the olden days it had a slide in 'casket' for 6 CDs. You could programme the running order. It broke ages ago. Marantz I think. I miss it.
Have seen dinky little juke boxes and huge ones with lights and all 50s retro style but I just want a black or silver box type!
Have looked in vain on Amazon.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

If you've got very deep pockets, there's always Bose.

However, as Alavahalf indicates, CDs been seen as 'old technology' for around a couple of decades. Car radios, for example, no longer come with CD players built into them and most hi-fi systems don't have CD players either. So you're probably going to have to buy a second hand unit on eBay or similar.
The way forward these days is to rip your old CDs to MP3 format (or to AAC if you want to retain the highest quality) and play them on your PC or laptop (connected to your hi-fi system) using a decent media player (which, in my opinion, definitely rules out Window Media Player). Any of these would do

enabling to create your own playlists from your library of music files.
I have to admit to still liking CDs myself though. When I bought my all-singing, all-dancing internet radio last year, I made sure that I chose a model which still incorporated a CD player ;-)

Thank you everybody.
The trouble is I am lazy and just want to shove a couple of CDs in a player and let it chug along. Sound quality is immaterial to me. I can't be bothered 'ripping' and MP3 sound sticks etc. Besides I have thousands of CDs some quite rare. The idea of second hand had just not occurred to me so that is one valuable avenue (there is a second hand HiFi shop junkyard near me so can check that after Covid lockdown. The BOSE I need to check that out after fainting from the price! Thank again.
