Freeview problems!
7 Answers
I have lost all the 5ive channels (C5, 5 America and 5 Life) from my freeview box for no apparent reason. I've always had them in the past but the picture and sound just disappeared and I've re-scanned the box loads of time but it just can't find those channels - anyone any ideas as to why this is??

Could it be your aerial? Or how about the aerial cable? We kept getting a dodgy reception only to find that the wire in the aerial cable had come loose (under the sealed plastic) so the connection wasn't as good leading to poor reception.
Unless anyone else comes up with better suggestions of why you may have lost the channels, it might be a good idea to buy a booster box for a stronger signal (unless you already have one of course lol), see if that helps.
Sorry I can't be of much help Miss, but I know how annoying it is to have the channels but not be able to view them!

Funnily enough I was reading in a paper this morning that a prisoner(yes I know it sounds daft)wants the prison to buy him a new freeview box because the prison has just changed over to digital and he had lost most of his channels. So,if your area has just just changed over to digital transmission this may be the reason why your box is not working as it should.
Hi again Miss-taken :o)
The 2 sites are great for asking questions related to Freeview. I have had a quick look thru them but can't find anything related to your problem. These 2 are handy to bookmark just to keep checking every now and then for changes to freeview.

Freeview channels are bundled together in Multiplexes follow this link...
http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/freeviewchannel s.html
It is highly likely that if you cannot get one channel in the multiplex you will not be able to get any of them. It may also affect your ability to record and watch more than one channel in a multiplex (we have just experienced this with our new Humax box)
I don't know what the solution is though.
