Maybe it came from mixing the three words "Roger' 'The" and "Ring" which makes you wander what side this guy roger used to play for.
Roger McGough?
A derogetory term used among males to explain what they would like todo to a person whom they are attracted to! often refeering to sexual intercourse

I doubt it was Roger Whittaker.... not in those jumpers.

I wouldn't say nay to a good rogering by roger black.
i also thought it had something to do with sdailing, no idea why though
*always not also* i'm going mad....
From c.1650 to c.1870 Roger was slang for the word "penis" probably due to the origin of the name involving fame with a spear.

Therefore "roger" became slang for "have sex with".
Phwoar yeah Roger Black yes please!
it has old Germanic origins, from the old German word rod (fame) and gzer (spear) so roger means famous with a spear...

Well I can see the link to giving a good rogering from that :)
That reminds me I just heard a fosters advert on the radio

"get some Australian in ya"

Jolly rogering now that sounds fun!!

...I really ought to think of a back up name for when I get banned....
sounds like Lenny Henry, rinkins

"Excuse me, but do you have any Jamaican in you?

Would you like some?"
Never heard of the term until I came onto AB. "To make love "was a term that I saved for the fortunate one(s)

Funny - I've just come back from sailing and had a Jolly Rogering (or two..) but not from someone called Roger.

However, a few years back I didn;t go sailing with a Roger... and he was jolly... but not was useless at rogering.

Does that make any sense?
