Can you please tell me who recorded it and what it was called

Kempie is correct. The song that Liverpool mentions is the main theme to the show.

WOW!! I just found it on a old compilation CD I have called "Our Friends Electric" on disc 2 (the one I hardly played as disc 1 was my fav)

It is indeed Funiture.
