How can a million pound mansion with 12ft walls, be built near a Military Academy..
without people wondering who was staying there, moreover, who built it? were they given information of who would be residing there?

If people don't want to be found then people generaly won't be. Bin laden was a hero to many there and so would have recieved help plus he was immensely wealthy. Clearly whoever built the compound knew he was staying there but aside form that I doubt anyone would. Terrorist cells are a lot more discreet than you'd ever imagine, there were IRA sleeper cells all over the UK, many which were sleeper cells and never ever discovered.

And yes, I do suspect some Pakistanis knew where he was - but weren't saying. Pakistan is so highly fragmented at the moment it well may be that the senior Government had no idea.....

It was worth a million dollars, not a million pounds. That's probably less than my one-storey flat in outer London, so perhaps it's not as palatial as everyone imagines.
