Justice Onions is NOT saying that illegal immigrants should be paid benefits.
He is merely stating the obvious. If they cannot legally work they will resort to crime. That is why he is banging them up and suggesting deportation.
He is,in effect saying,"If we don't stop this trade of illegal immigrants we can expect more crime in the country" which is TRUE

i'm not sure that he said "illegal immigrants should be paid benefits", per-se - but he did point out the illegals have little alternative to crime or other illegal goings-on since they cannot legally work or qualify for benefits. if they don't turn to crime, the alternative is the black economy, with all the exploitation that this entails.

He is doing what he should do whereas many many other liberal minded judges wouldn't. He is actually giving them custodial sentences with a recommendation for deportation. If he let them walk,like other judges might, they would disappear into the Black economy again.
