I dont see an answer in that.

Just more assumptions.
Has he kissed any KKK members?
YMB, in response to andy-hughes' absurd claim that he has ‘laid out the truth’ for you, see my post above.

Reminds me of Mae West:

-Is that a pistol in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?-
Yes, thank you Naomi.
You're welcome. andy-hughes owes Mr Trump an apology. ;o)
So do a few others.

Trump has been forced into saying he hates racism, because it appeared politically expedient to do so.

If I were the President, and I seriously thought that my policies had the support of someone like David Duke and his racist clowns, I would start re-assessing what I stand for.
Friend and mentor

andy-hughes, the KKK's support of Mr Trump does not equate to his support of them. How difficult is that for you to understand?
Naomi, personal hatred seems to blind many on here and causes loss of logic.
The KKK?

History lesson: KKK militant wing of the Democratic party in the former slave-owning, but later morphed into the Jim Crow southern states. And still an éminence grise in Democrat politics in the 60s.

Have I got that right?
this thread appears to have been side tracked by a point of conjecture, ie "had the shooting be carried out by the KKK...", which it wasn't. is the perception of the president's attitude to the KKK relevant in this case - was a shooting by what is effectively a municipal agency, answerable to a democrat led authority, caused by the president's views?
Don't know the exact numbers, but there were millions of KKK members before WW2. These days they're numbered in thousands.
V_e, sounds about right.

andy-hughes, //Trump has been forced into saying he hates racism, because it appeared politically expedient to do so.//

His condemnation pre-dates the comments from the KKK in your link.
YMB - // Naomi, personal hatred seems to blind many on here and causes loss of logic. //

If you assume that I 'hate' President Trump, then you are wrong.

I think he is a morally bankrupt, chippy, ignorant, racist misogynist politically inept buffoon, but I don't hate him in the slightest, I wouldn't waste the energy.

You make a valid point.

I raised the notion of the KKK in the incident because I think the notion of calling Chicago police officers 'white supremacists' is incorrect and offensive.

I have allowed myself to get into a side-track argument, and I will confine myself to responding to comments pertinent to the OP from now on.
vetuste - // Don't know the exact numbers, but there were millions of KKK members before WW2. These days they're numbered in thousands.//

I am unsure of the relevance of that point - as far as I can see, one KKK members is one too many - anything else is just statistics.
Well done for pointing out that the KKK was a creation of the Democratic party. In those days Republicans were the lefties, the Democrats the extreme right. Anyone remember Governor George Wallace of Alabama?
