Regretfully, to succeed as a political leader in this infantile world, you have to be a strutting toddler, toys thrown out of the pram, screaming and crying to get your own way... and in media terms 'good' looking.
Hence Thatcher, Trump, Johnson, possibly Farage. Buffoons all, but all fit the bill for 'greatness'.
Quiet confidence and high principles do not enter into it, hence Corbyn's failure as a leader.
Still, you get what you pay for, and you are going to pay for it.
