I didn't really see Jess Philips as a leader, to be honest.
It probably will be Starmer, unfortunately, but I only say "unfortunately" because I'd prefer Lisa Nandy.
Realistically, it will probably be a bland unifier - for now. (It is all very well exoriating one wing of the party - they certainly deserve it - but generally it is not the way to win elections).
That probably does rule the others out.
I am a little surprised Emily Thornberry is not doing better. I suspect she may also drop out.

Not so fast, sir, not so fast!

All this ducking and diving is simply to decide whose names appear on the ballot paper. Once that's done (and Wrong-Daily will almost certainly qualify) it is up to the membership. This is heavily dominated by Corbynites (aka "Momentum") and R-L-B is their favourite. There is hope yet!

I also like Jess Phillips and I feel she would've bought a human touch to the party. Hopefully her supporters will rally behind SKS, because if Long-Bailey gets in, we'll be in the same boat as we would've been had Jezza had stayed on.

RLB has a big disadvantage: she is seen as Corbyn continuity and despite what many think the Labour membership at large fell out of love with Corbyn a long time ago.

I happily admit to sl@99ing the Tories off because they have been dreadful these past 10 years. Even you have not had a kind word for Cameron and May.
But you make a big mistake in attributing my posts as Labour supporting. What tends to happen is that you post some stupid drivel about Corbyn, and I supply a few facts to redress the nonsense you post, and that makes me aLabour supporter in your eyes.
I have been saying Corbyn is a terrible leader and Opposition leader for 3 years and I never thought Labour would win the election, but you seem fixated in wanted me to be a Labour Luvvie (which I ain't).

That poll is hardly surprising. Ask a predominantly young membership who they prefer out of the last few leaders and they’ll probably say “the last one”.
But there was major disillusion with Corbyn, largely admittedly over Brexit. And You Gov polls of the members now regarding the next leader reflect that.
Might change, of course
