Isn't It Time We Got Fracking?
With gas prices going through roof and being held to ransom by foreign governments its absolutely ludicrous that we are not making the most of the shale gas under our feet. Ignore the idiotic eco loonies and scaremongering and just get on with it.

I live within sight of one of the biggest wind farms in the UK. For nigh on a month not one of them has turned a revolution unless it has power put into it to prevent seizing. Not an amp of electrickery has been produced from billions of pounds worth of kit. Kit that still needs thousands of pounds a day to maintain it despite it being useless because the wind is not...

Brilliant. The planet isn't burning fast enough for you ?
Googling will produce a page of US sites that are pro the practice. Guess who paid for those.
This seems to be quite unbiased:

It's alright saying move away from fossil fuels but there is a crisis now, we need energy that is constantly on tap, not just when the wind blows. Gas prices are only going to go up, so fuel poverty and people freezing to death in the winter because they can't afford to heat their homes is a price worth paying is it?
Well something needs to be done. The lunacy of successive governments pursuing the ridiculous "Net Zero" strategy is now being laid bare. There is not a cat in Hell's chance of that aim being achieved in the time envisaged without massive hardship and financial difficulties for both individuals and governments. This country's energy strategy is a shambles and only a couple of weeks ago two coal fired power stations had to be brought onstream to keep the lights on. The eco-loonies need to stop their continual warnings of an apocalypse, none of which are likely to materialise, and the government needs to get the fracking industry going and some coal mines reopened. When that has been secured, and China, India and the USA reduce their coal consumption, then we can mess about with barrages and windmills. Meantime our massive 1% contribution to global emissions will have to continue.
We definitely need to do something to avoid this happening:-
