TBH though motoring is still too cheap, poor people are still on the roads carrying empty seats everywhere.

If poor people are priced off the roads the rich people would find that none of their staff turned up for work. There'd be outrage.
Our local Morrisons fairly tumbled yesterday, diesel down to 'only' £1.70.9/litre, a drop of 7p.
If 'they' hadn't done the big con switcheroo from gallons back in the day there would be blood on the streets now.

"I'm surprised they bother any more, there's so little profit in fuel" he sniggered.
