Afternoon All,

Right, please bear with me as I'm not going to be able to offer an awful lot of information on this.... but am still going to attempt the question.... Anyway...

I have either read or seen a programme about a tribe that has never been seen by modern day man. I can't remember where I saw this or even how long ago so maybe they have now been seen.

Are there any tribes that we know of but have never seen? (And in that case, how the heck do we know of them?!)

Sorry if this is the wrong section but it did seem to come under people and places in my head. (And there's not a missing persons section).

Cheers
China xx

it is that tribe that only grow to about 2 ft 6 inches tall but live in an area of really tall grassy plains, they jump up and down calling out their tribal name.

Oh... you mean the ones that lost there way a long time ago?

Hi China - I know a few years ago there was a small tribe of people discovered living in caves in the Phillippines. They were still living very primitive hunter-gatherer lives with few possessions or ornamentation. I can't remember what they were called.

I have also heard of tales of light skinned indian tribes living in South America. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Mansions
I don't know if people have actually seen them, but the art seems to reflect their existence.
