That way when someone has good news they want to share there would be a topic which could be used.I think it would be an excellent idea and that way when some arent facing such brilliant news they could avoid that topic and it wouldnt be in their face so to speak.
Im sure ive seen this type of topic elsewhere.Might be worth a consideration?

Of course my good wishes were genuine it just prompted me to think of some of the threads just lately when bad turned into good and how we have followed them and they were heartening and they might give hope to others rather than it being landed in and forgotten about in CB.
Also a place to avoid if you maybe werent up to it -think thats the general thinking behind it...

Im not asking you to follow my train of thought bobbi-its a suggestion and believe me this is possibly the only forum ive seen which doesnt have a 'dedicated' style of topic.
Thats right Tambo thats why I thought it would be a feel good Topic.
I'll see what the Ed has to say and other ABers.
I thought it was really good idea i have to scramble for Aya's thread and I just use that as an example (sorry Aya if you read this) but others will see I try to catch up as often as possible.

It is a good idea Dris, but not the reason that people can avoid it if they are not facing such brilliant news. Actually people's good news can lift you if you are feeling sad, e.g. you are dealing with the death or serious illness but someone posts of a birth or someone recovering. If you see what I mean.
I think it would be a good idea if there wasn't already a chatterbank but for now I don't really see why things such as good news posts couldn't remain in there.
This is primarily a Q&A site so it would seem to me a little bit defeating the object of creating more subjects that would turn it into a different sort of site. I think chatterbank is good for all the other posts that aren't really inkeeping with the purpose of the site.
