I have just had a clearout and came across an old bible given to my daughter in primary school, I decided to throw it away but I felt uncomfortable about it. I have no idea why.

I also feel uncomfortable about throwing away stuff the kids made, even worse if they stick a little picture of your child on the picture!, to be fair though the house would be filled to bursting if I kept it all! is there anything that you feel odd throwing away?

I feel the same about things or pictures my nephews and nieces have made for me. I've still got one by my desk my niece made 4 years ago. It's just a bunch of stickers with some squiggles around it so it's not even like she put any effort in. Lol.

I feel bad about throwing cards away too.
i have issues throwing food away
I've kept stuff from my nieces from years and years ago - just set up a scrap book, it won't take up much room.
Years ago, when my now 18yr old was about 8, for Mothers day he had found a plank of wood, couolred in a picture of a princess and stuck it to the plank, then wrote MY MUMMY IS A PRINCESS on the wood. I have moved house and even taken the plank with me! When he came to visit a few months ago he was looking in the storage box in the garden and could not believe I had kept it. I just cant throw it away
Awwwwwwwww, that's lovely snowball.
I work in a charity shop and anything religious, bibles crosses etc if they have to be thrown out I always feel bad about it. Dont really know why. Chapel upbringing I suppose.
Books. Even if they're battered beyond repair I feel awful about it.
My mum kept hold of virtually every picture, story, piece of craftwork, miscellaneous crap that my sisters and I ever made at school. After she died, house clearance took ages, but it was quite an entertaining, if bittersweet, nostalgia trip. We were a bit taken aback when we found a tin full of baby teeth, though.

I keep old photos, but that's about it.
still haven't got rid of my first wedding album....
And books.
i did feel guilty when i threw out the baby with the bath water.
Ive also got every birthday/xmas/mothers day card the kids have ever given me. Quite funny to see how their writing changed as they got older.(not much better in some cases!)

I struggle with throwing out the kids stuff, I've got all their school work from primary school, I keep telling myself that I'll sort through it and get rid but I know I won't, I've kept all the cards they made me, not bought ones though, i'll need a spare room soon to put it all in.

Books, can't throw a book away, that's criminal.
The pictures the kids made are in a box in the attic. Everything else I throw out. I like minimal....
