new job/shoe dilemma
8 Answers
ok, i start my new job tomorrow (yikes)
anyway, my dilemma is due to my illness i have an ulcer on my toe which i have to dress everyday. Consequently, the only shoes i can wear comfortably are
1)a pair of sandals (which show the dressing and anything thats leaked through - ewww!)
2) a pair of crocs that dont rub on the dressing (they are black)
now i realise in my new, corporate bitch career that neither of these shoes are acceptable, but i dont think it's feasible to wear any other shoes and not cripple myself/make the ulcer worse
what should i do? what should i wear
do i draw attention to the fact i have on crap shoes and make a joke of it? stay in bed all day?

It is your first day so you don't want to be uncomfortable it will put your mind elsewhere when you need to be in control of your new surroundings, Do what skyep says with black trousers, and in the next days see what you can get that are a bit more appropriate and comfortable. Dot hawkes is the shoe expert perhaps if she sees this post she can give you some advice (thats if you want any) Best of luck tomorrow.Puss XX
I get people in alot with problems like this, it is better to wear leather lined shoes that will allow the feet to breath and stay dry. Your dressing will be more effective then. You should wear 100% cotton socks and try to find a wide fit pair of trouser shoes, these are back in this season, and with a wide fit shoe, you get a deeper fit too, which would accomodate the dressing.
