Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Is there a thread somewhere that I have overlooked? We have enjoyed Samuel's clues (of course) but needed the Internet to identify some of the solutions to the algebraic clues (even though it is a field we dabble in). What a great idea - wish I had had it!

Agree, but I'm still procrastinating over what is to be witten below the grid.
Is it just a single letter or something like 1dn. The shaded item is defined as a bright A or B where A would a single term and B (in the SOED) as A plus a touch of 9dn -- giving an expression like 1dn? Very irritating, or am I being too fussy?

We have considered the term 'expression' and I think that tells us that it is to be written a bit like 1down. The Internet gave us an algebraic equivalent that resembles 1down.
