Problem With My Bissell Powerwash Proheat

Can anyone suggest the reason the cleaning fluid (water and smart mix) is not coming out on the carpet when the "ReadyTools" dial is set to floor cleaning while it IS flowing out properly when using the Flex Hose for upholstery/stair setting on the dial.
Is there a Bissell knowledgeable person on Answerbank who can give a solution please? It is the 1698 Series 220-240v. It worked perfectly last time I used it.

No real knowledge, but would suspect a blockage if it comes out one way (the flex hose) but not another (floor cleaning).

Thanks. Not a blockage and no advice available over the phone. All tel numbers are now obsolete but there is just one for ordering spares. I may have guessed the solution but only the repair men would know how to access it. The User's Guide does not mention it. It may be the pump belt which I would try but really need someone to reveal how to access it.

Thank you Paul. I will study this video. I need to know how to access the Pump belt which it does not tell you in the User's manual. I think the pump belt might have perished through being stored for a long period so really need a Bissell repair man to see my post.
