The Tory party is in power. They run the Government of all of us. Of course people who aren't members of the Tory party take an interest in how the party behaves and who the next Prime Minister will be - it matters to us.
Fifth columnists do things like hand out peerages to the families of Russian oligarchs, against the advice of the British security services. Or meet Russian oligarchs while Foreign Secretary, get absolutely sloshed without any security detail, and then fail to notify anybody that a meeting ever took place let alone what happened. That's what fifth columnists do. People who try to hold their own government to account are not fifth columnists. People who sell out their country to Russia are fifth columnists. People who can't or won't explain their actions are highly suspect.
