Charger Cable Compatible With Samsung Galaxy A53
14 Answers
A few months ago, I treated myself to a new mobile phone, the Samsung Galaxy A53, and am very pleased with it. A couple of years ago, I bought myself one of those portable charger packs - I am sure you know the sort of thing, a sort of phone size device which you charge up and keep with you just in case your mobile runs out of charge while you're on the go. So - you pop one end of the cable into your portable charger pack and the other into the phone ... but obviously the existing cable no longer fits my Samsung phone (I had a Sony Xperia before) ... I have already been on Amazon and bought something which I thought would be compatible with the Samsung phone, but it isn't, so I am returning it. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a compatible mobile charger device which WILL fit into my Samsung Galaxy mobile, please ... grateful for any suggestions, please, before I make yet another online purchase mistake .... many thanks, TIA, Chox.

You just need a cable that fits the A53 like this one with type C connector for your 'phone.

As I read your post, all you need is a standard (= 'Type A') USB to USB Type C cable, such as this one:

Ooooh, have just had a thought .... the short-length cable (with USB port at one end and the port which goes into the power pack is, presumably, the one I use to charge up the portable power packs - right? So if I want to charge up my Samsung mobile from the charged mobile power pack, all I really need is one of my EXISTING Samsung compatible charger cables - with the USB port on one end (to pop into the charger pack) and the other end, with the Samsung compatible port going into my Samsung mobile. That right? Please don't chide me for being a thickie .... So as long as I've got my mobile power pack and one of my existing cables with me, then I'm fine .... that right?
Yeah, thanks everyone for their suggestions - through reading all your suggestions and advice, I had one of those "eureka" moments - and have just ordered a spare USB A to Type C cables - which I can carry with me with the portable power pack (as long as I remember to pack it!) - and have ordered the 0.3M version, as I don't want cable trailing around in my bag or pocket. Cheers everyone, much appreciated. Couldn't have done it without you all! chox.
