I need to know the following facts about HGV driving as want to apply for a job soon. Can any of you truck drivers help me out with the following? Please be patient; you were a rookie once too:
1 List 5 of the most important vehicle checks before driving off.
2 What is the minimum height of an unmarked bridge?
3 A goods vehicle is found by the police to be overloaded. Who is liable to be prosecuted for the offence of using an overloaded vehicle?
A: The driver only
B: Both driver and haulage operator
C: The person who loaded the vehicle only
D: The haulage operator only
4 How should you drive round a bend on ice?
A: Using the clutch and brake together
B: In first gear
C: Slowly and smoothly
D: Braking as you enter the bend
5 In which 3 places must you never park your vehicle?
