I was just thinking about this today -why does the Labour party have a conference in a Southern English Coastal town and the Conservatives are going to Manchester? Is it so the delegates don't enjoy themselves?

I agree Retro. Manchester is hostile territory for the Tories whilst south coast towns are the same for Labour, although Brighton does from time to time return Labour MPs. Perhaps they are reaching out to the other half.
