Not a bad idea Khandro but i fear then opening the door after it may tip.. I could but the unit on it's side but that's not recomended as it contains a lot of fuel
I've transported lots of valuable antiques by this method. You don't tie the doors at all Baldric. The thin nylon rope is trapped between the door and its rebate and passes over the roof of the vehicle.
"If this item is something you need to transport on a regular basis, why not fix two ring-bolts to the floor of the van."
Good advice from an ex REME gentleman,I believe, but I can imagine a drill bit going through hydraulics or crown and pinion housings etc if the poster took the advice. :-)
