Why do the Mucky Media persist in publicising celebrity's views. The latest in the States is Nicole Richie telling people to grow their own vegetables to overcome the current (allegedly) food shortage crisis (sorry, can't seem to generate a link). It's as bad as football pundits telling me which crisps to eat :-)

No-one would suggest that celebrities are experts per se, but they are popular, hence they are celebrities, and hence, a portion of the viewing public will pay attention to what they have to say, regardless of its worth or validity.
Some vegetables can take between 70-120 days to grow so a bit late to start planting now. Not sure where she shops but around here vegetables are in plentiful supply.
