Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!

Welcome to this second week in the reign of Lady Alex, who will appear in person tomorrow ~ having been out of the country on state business! I expect that you will have lined up a real Shrubbery Welcome for her as befitting a new monarch.

Last week was somewhat subdued (in the absence of some notable rabble-rousers). It doesn't take long to work out who causes all the noise! Tonight is Quiz Night at the Cricket Club and it's my turn as Quiz Master. I have based tonight's Quiz on Alphabetic Double Deckers with the first answer starting with AA, the second with BB, etc. I might as well kill two birds with one stone!

Sorry D, typo error, you know who I meant!
Hi Laney ... yes all's well, I'm watching the cricket now, but it's painfully slow. Looking forward to the six nations matches tomorrow ... it should be a cracking game in Ireland!!
and he an edimicated man! :0)
Hi Kay ... you can always take Pauline clubbing at the Conservative Social Club ... that should be lively !!!??
Laney - many a true word spoken in typo error!! :0)
Is Oxydol still in existence?
Yes or the Allotment owners fun night where this months competition is "make a funny animal out of your veg!!!!!"
It's all happening here!
Here's one I made earlier Dustybun ....

Guess what S, Alan is watching the cricket too!! He has tomorrow all organised for the rugby, we are going to friends for the match and staying for supper so depends whether it is celebations or commiserations! Could you, just for once, shout for Wales and the triple crown?!!!
Gosh you really know how to live it up in Lichfield Kay !!
thanks S - I had forgotten what the pack looked like. Must be at least 40 years since I saw one. (The Oxydol that is) :o)
Oh Laney .. that's a hard ask, as England still have a chance of finishing top (surprisingly). Their three-quarters have surely got to come good soon, although I'm not happy that Balshaw is back in after Cipriani's digression!
Dusty that would probably win first prize but some of the female members of the society may be a little shocked!!!
S and L I wish I understood Rugby. Geoff wasn't too keen on it so I never really watched it so i don't really know whats going on. Geoff's old schoolfriend was here recently and he was watching it but when I was asking him to explain he was too engrossed in the game!
You will have to come down here Kay and let Alan explain it to you, he can put his schoolmasters hat on he's very good at explaining - mind you he will have you running up and down the lawn and passing the rugby ball. You have to get the feel of the game you see!!!!
Oh! Lordie, Lordie - I see what goes on in this - er- paradise, aka The Shuddery.

Congrats, rogerr - I'm not sure what you won, but that doesn't matter, does it.

Aqua - follow Jan's line in choice of reds. Hardy's Crest Cab-Sav is very good - and Sainbury's do it at give-away prices when it first arrives. They're offering boxes of Shiraz-Cabernet and Semillon-Chardonay at 4 for 3 = 5.00 per 3 litre box. Good value. (How'm I doing, Jan - Sainsbury's should clean up this week).

I'm off to bed now - you young ones can stay up all night, but thisold bunyip needs his sleep, especially having been up the ladder half the afternoon cleaning out gutters.

Behave yourselves girls, and stop teasing the men.

What position do you fancy playing Kay ... you could be a loosehead prop, a hooker or perhaps a fly half?/
Goodnight Bunyip you should have called in earlier.
Laney that would be a good idea, I would be OK running up and down because at the moment am doing my jogging around 2 football pitches and am building up for June (Cancer Race for Life in Sutton Park)
I don't know if I am up to practising the scrum??? because they get so muddy!!!!
Don't really know S, I am sure I know what Pauline would say!!!!! Which one is least likely to get crushed ??
I must be off to my bed now can't wait up for that PW. Good night Sarumite and Kay speak tomorrow. She might make a good fly half S!!!
