True meaning of Good Friday

Hello peeps!!
Just now logged on after watching a brilliant Harrison Ford film.Seen it before on the big screen.It was truly amazing watching it in the cinema.
Anyway,I guess most of you know the true meaning of Good Friday.

Eostre was the Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess of the spring and fertility.
The popular symbols of Easter are eggs and rabbits, which are fertility symbols.
Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. Sounds a bit pagan that. Why would they choose such a time? Because you have more than 12 hours of daylight (after the Spring Equinox) and the full moon ensures it stays light all night. Not particularly relevant to Jesus, but in prehistoric times it was a great time to have an all-night fertility festival.

Always get very moved by Easter hymns and Christmas carols not sure why though as not really religious
