I hate January too Woofy ..most dismal month of the year for me and I always feel low and reaching 60 has made me feel even lower !! And then you have to deal with dentists who want to charge you half a ton for a new lot of teeth !

Spoke to sis, they're home again with Kelly too but the vet said it's almost time now, if they want to remember her with dignity. They've been with him for decades with different dogs over the years so he offered to come to their house which of course is a great relief. Some time next week. They have another dog, who's a couple of years old, but that doesn't make it any less heartwrenching. Shaney you said you were working on your husband about getting a new dog...?
I'm googling on how to break into a pomegranate, there was a doctor on teve yesterday who praised its health benefits endlessly so I've bought my first one. I didn't manage to open it up like this, that's for sure.
She said as a rule of thumb that any food which causes difficult stains is (generally) healthy food, especially when it's organically grown so that you may safely eat the skin (that doesn't apply to pomegranates, of course.) Ha ha, judging from the stained state of my kitchenette tiles this has been a very healthy evening for me - and I've only eaten half of it so far...
Remember the pomegranate is fat-soluble so you need to take it with some "good fat."

good morning all, sending a special hug to DaSwede's sister. Its a hard thing to do but the last kindness we can show to a friend and I hope that someone will do the same for me. We were going to have a gap between dogs (not least because planning to move) but when we saw these two little faces that was that.

Good morning possums, what a night it's been, jno banging into chairs and tables all night in search of an open fridge - please jno you really have to wear the slippers we gave you for Christmas! We didn't...? Well you can get them yourself can't you. And while you're shopping, get a present for your gourmet friend in France - don't tell us he already has one...?
(Has anyone posted those slippers before - I'm not sure, it's as if I'd seen them - but it may have been in a nightmare.)

Aww thanks woofgang, I'll be sure to mention it to her, I know she'll appreciate it. We were saying yesterday how part of the pain in losing an animal is the not being able to talk freely about it in terms of grief, as a lot of people will think less of you for it - so I know she'll cherish your words. / I hardly ever go into beta but when I do, yes I see (or don't see, I don't remember which) posts I don't see (or see...) otherwise. / Btw woofy I'm Kit, I have introduced myself to you before - but in light of the whole beta thing,,,
