Whatever a child's called the parents should learn to spell it, I've seen loads of variants on Siobhan.
A friend was registering a new pupil called, according to Mum, Gooey. It was Guy when she wrote it down.
As teachers we too liked to judge, in private according to names, we also said we could set Year 7 on hairstyles!

I'm happy this post was resurrected, I've seen Tracey Ireland [20.45 Wednesday] and still don't get the joke, I even asked my son and he can't get it, if he doesn't understand..we're missing something here.
