Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

You give the best links ever Mibs! (Still have no clue as to who they are though).

I think Foo Fighters are great Theland, if you remember Nirvanna, well the lead singer of the Foo Fighters used to be their drummer and is generally given credit (and criticism) for them getting any mainstream attention at all. Personally I think he just seems like an extraordinarily nice guy.

Two of my favourite Foo Fighter songs for you.... Then you can tell me what you think.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, I followed Derby a few years back and I have to say that for the most part these events arereally quite random. I'm glad she's ok.

I did indeed study English Literature, reading and being opinionated are specialist subjects of mine so I figured I may as well put it to some use. And there in lies the problem, it's pretty useless! Occasionally I get a GCSE student in Arts and Literature I can help and every now but since I have no burning desire to be a teacher then it other than proving that I have a learning capacity that's pretty much all it's good for. My father is still the most well read person I (physically) know, far more so than myself (but he does have 33 odd years on me in all fairness), however he left school with one O level (I think that's what he said it was called). When you consider it that way, it's really not that impressive.
Well China, to be perfectly honest, FF are not just too loud, but in my opinion, lack melody, and all those clever twiddly bits that appeal to me in rock music. So, no, I'm sorry, I wouldn't go out of my wqay to watch them on the telly, never mind going to see them live.
But each to their own.

And I read your contribution about Focaults Pendulum. So how could you appreciate that if you didn't have such a good grasp of Eng Lit? I've never read it, but would love to if ever I learn to read again.
Tell me a little about it?
It's not an english degree you need, it's a bl00dy science or maths one! I had a lot of help in Science to read that. The first part of it is really tough to get through and half the time I hadn't a clue what was being talked about and had to go back a couple of pages. Science as ever kept their usual patience levels with me and avoided big words.

It's basically about the search for a belief. You know like all the conspiracy theories out there?Holy grail and all that and what happens when you think you've found something. I can't say too much cause it really would give the whole game away and with this particular book, it's the game that's the fun. Initially anyway. It's pretty powerful in it's own way. I'd read In the Name of the Rose first (same author) and I have tosay, it deals with some similar themes but is easier to read. Focaults Pendulem is the better of the two though.

Nice bit of music. This is one of my favourite pieces but it's only a bit of it. Pretty famous really so not that original but still brillian, can't beat a bit of Karl when you want to kick some crap round your room

You may have noticed but I'm pretty fond of loud noise.
Oh...A deep knowlege of phillosophy would help too with that book I think.... again, I had to phone a friend!
A nice picture of Mibs and China, discovering an alternative to the FF's.

Pendulum is suddenly very appealing. I shall have to get a copy even if it sits on the shelf for a while.
I never read the Rose, but I enjoyed the film.

. . . hmmm . . . if only I had lernt to work the piano
Just been reading a few reviews for Pendulum - the word "tedious" seems to crop up time and again.
Well like I said, the first part is hard to break through and if you don't try to understand it you will find it tedious I guess. I still think it's worth persevering with.

Have you read Sophies World? That's a nice book, I liked that too.
I hate incredibly talented children, they make me feel bad!

I think I just got insulted (or rather my father did) by keyplus, either that or I've yet to understand his rather unique sense of humour.... takes all sorts I guess.
No, it's a sense of humour thing, my bad!
Who have you got on P.M.'s that you would like tio invite down here?
The terms of endearment between you and Octavius suggest, "chemistry."
(We can expect a link from his Mibship for that.)
I have just re-read the first 200 posts on this thread.
Quite interesting to look back on.
I would read more but I'm quite tired now and going off to bed.
Sweet dreams folks!
Octavius is a good friend of mine and I think he's a gem. We don't always agree but we can usually agree to disagree. That's the extent of the chemistry though. We do joke around but Octavius is a devoted husband and father which is one of the things I really like about him. He's a good guy... for a smart arse!

Theland, ~200 . . . that's impressive. If it was one of my posts that provided the knock out blow . . . happy to have been of service. Wish I had a dollar for every time someone in a-b-land nodded out while reading one of my submissions . . .
I re-read them all recently. I had very strange dreams that night.

I get my foo fighter tickets today! Whoooo Hoooo!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I rarely get irritated with this site but I've just read something that has really hacked me off by someone who I know for a fact (I know what they do for a living) is ten times smarter than that. I hope it didn't seem obvious in my response that I was irritated.
When I have time I shall continue reading from 201. It's really interesting to look back and see a different frame of mind.
I recieved an e mail from a friend, who having learned of recent events in my life over the last few months, said that if I sent my accounts of various happenings into the T.V. stations in the form of a play, it would be rejected for being too depressing!
So there you are. This from a neutral observer, who can hardly believe the sheer number of bad things that come my way.
Do you think i should buy a lottery ticket today, or save my quid. "Lucky Dip," just doesn't seem apt for me does it?
I don't normally gamble in any form, but moments of weakness have occurred and I have been 1 lighter as a result.
Do you good people do the lottery, or gamble in any other way?
Anyway, to change tack just a little ........
Our reality is based on what we know and experience, and anything beyond that is speculation or revelation.
Not being a scientist myself does not prohibit me from a bit of specualtion as well, just as I am not barred from drinking beer simply because I don't understand the finer points of fermentation.
So, when I consider string theory, something not observed by scientists, but based on pure speculation, then laughable as it may appear, I do have some questions to ask about it, and your opinions would be interesting.
