Can anyone tell me if any horses died or got put to sleep after running in this year's Grand National?

Yes, unfortunately one collapsed near the end and died.
That was the only fatality.

The name of the horse which died was "Hear The Echo".

nothing to do with the race.....horses have heart attacks every day.....

a very good horse died of a heart attack the day before the national....exotic dancer.

just like people.... and not only after excercise, it just happens....
