England..the REAL TRUTH.

Sorry about this, I know there's a sport section, but this is the only time I will do this about England. We haven't had a decent team since the one that won the World Cup in 1966. We've had (still do), some fantastic players who played brilliantly for their clubs, week in, week out. But as soon as they put the England shirt on, they turn to jelly. This has been the case since we surrendered a two goal lead against West Germany in Mexico in 1970. That's where our world standing fell down and has never recovered. So all this business about tactics, harmony, injuries, the manager etc. is just a fudge. And everyone fell for all hype and over-expectation about England winning the World Cup. We aint good enough and never will be till we get some players who have the BALLS to put in a real performance instead of turning to jelly.

Unfortunately they didnt finish top and they were given germany to play. that being said they played poorly so maybe even ghana could of beaten them
))))Friction and factions within the Squad
Friction between players and manager - manager lost dressing room
Friction between players and players
John Terry affair and fall out with Wayne Bridge who opted out of world cup
John Terrys loss of captaincy and loss of form into the world cup - destroyed team spirit(((( <from my post in "news">
I suspect significant ingredients of Englands failure are to be found in the mix of the above.
