Hitachi Green Light Flashing and Wont Switch On.

I have a Hitachi widescreen TV which isnt used much so we switch it off at the mains. I just switched it on today and there is a green light flashing and the TV wont switch on at all. Help ! I have changed batteries in remote and pressed all the buttons, switched plug off and on again but no joy.

try on/off switch at rear , near top left side if your looking at tv from front

Tried that biglilly, switch on and off, still no difference. In fact the light is more amber than green but not red ! Any more help please ? Is there a landline number for Hitachi Support?
