Internet Explorer cannot display....
I've asked about this before, I know, but I'm still nonplussed! Why can I ping my DSN server and websites such as Google but remain unable to get IE or Firefox to display the relevant pages? I've managed to get onto the Answerbank site and that of Microsoft, but can't get to Google or virutally anywhere else. Yesterday, I was able to go wherever I wanted. Help would really be appreciated! I'm using Windows XP, IE 7.0 and a wireless router - Linksys. Kaspersky Antivirus and Anti-Hacker don't seem to be causing the problem, as it happens even if I turn them off.

One thing that often causes this problem, is having too high a MTU setting. You can download a small program called DrTcp and if you run this program, you will probably find that your MTU value is 1500. If this is the case, suggest you reduce it to 1430 and see if the situation improves. Just enter drtcp in the google search bar and it comes up as the first entry.
