I not able to run system restore to any of the dates even the bold ones, I am using Windows xp. Please Help, Thank you

Do you have XP Home?
If so, you have to use system restore in Safe Mode.
Why are you trying to use system restore? It is quite possible that the problem you are trying to resolve is affecting the operation of system restore.
