GPS reference points
From a letter about my uncle killed WW1 in 1917:-
He was buried by his comrades at a point N.W. of Havrincourt. The map reference which may be useful to you later is K.15d.95.80.
Does a GPS device use the same system?

No modern GPS systems do not use that format at all, that's a WW1 British army reference.

The grid reference is that used for British trench maps and will most certainly not be a standard map reference of modern GPS devices.

If you read the info in the CWGC link, it explains that the cemetery is on the road leading out from Havrincourt. On the google maps link, there is the usual uninformative red 'balloon' for the place name but if you look around you will see a green arrow pointing directly to the tiny cemetery.
I don't understand how this is difficult.

Leave the village on the Rue de Ribecourt going South, there is a sharp Left hand bend, you're now going East, there's a Right hand turning after approx 200/250mts heading SSE, go to the Y shaped junction and turn left, go around the right hand bend is a no through road on the right, the G/yard is at the end of it.
